The upgraded webcam has a 4-megapixel sensor, which results in a clear image. It’s capable of capturing 1080p video at 30fps, or you can lower the resolution to 720p to raise the frame rate to 60fps. It has an adjustable field of view with three options at 90, 78, and 65 degrees, so you can get the perfect image for that next presentation. The stereo microphone has a specific range of up to four feet, so you can sit back, relax and know you’ll be heard. You can attach it to your monitor or laptop using either the included clip, or using the adhesive on the stand, which we found stays nice and sticky even when moved frequently.

You’ll also have access to a variety of useful features bundled into the Logitech G Hub software. The classics are here, like autofocus and white balance, or you can let Logitech’s RightSight technology automatically adjust everything, including centering you in the frame and zooming in/out to get a good shot of your face. For anyone who needs to view or display products, you can easily tilt the webcam down to point it at your desk.

If you’re wondering about the numbers, I did some digging on Logitech’s website, and the cameras have basically identical specs. The Brio 500 seems to be the one sold on most consumer sites with a one-year warranty, while the Brio 505 is aimed at businesses, with a longer three-year warranty.
