Sometimes a good photo just needs the right edits to turn into a great photo. Previously, you needed to know exactly what to change and which setting to adjust to achieve the desired result. This is a thing of the past, thanks to Google Photos Edit the conversation feature.

So, next time you need to make changes to an image, you can tell the AI to edit the image either by typing or using your voice. If you don’t know what changes to make, you can say, “Make this picture look better,” and Gemini will do the rest.

What makes you qualified?
Google says it’s currently rolling out the feature to eligible Android users. You need:
- You must be 18 years of age or older
- Be located in the United States
- Set your Google Account language to English (United States)

Even if you meet all the requirements, you may not see Ask Photos appear yet. Google says the feature is not available in all regions yet.
What can you do with conversation editing?

Google Photos settings to check again
To adjust Gemini’s access to Google Photos, don’t forget to check your settings.
From the Google Photos app:
- Click on your Profile picture
- Click on Image Settings
- handle Gemini features in pictures
If you don’t want Google to display every query you make on Ask Photos, you can turn off this setting by toggling Allow us to access your inquiries to off. Here, you can also choose which Gemini-powered features you want to take advantage of. You can disable Gemini entirely in the Photos app, or individual features, like Ask Photos, Gemini-powered Memories, and Help Me with Address. Anything you’ve asked Photos to remember, such as a friend, parent, sibling or partner, can be managed in the Remember List.
