Home Depot’s Best Black Friday Deals of 2025

Apparently, it always is Friday at Home Depot. Or at least, Home Depot Black Friday deals have crossed all the usual limits of the calendar: the online deals started on November 5 and will continue through December 3.

This includes some pretty deep discounts on leading tool brands like Milwaukee, Ryobi, and DeWalt tools, and by that I mean steep, buy-one-get-one sales. It looks like half the store is for sale. But here’s an early look at some of the best deals to look out for as Black Friday comes early.

Discounts on Google Nest and other smart home devices

Nest Learning Thermostat (4th generation)

Latest Nest Learning Thermostat It’s a real blockbuster in its class, and Home Depot is selling it at the lowest price I can find at any retailer right now. The Nest is pretty on the eyes and has no problem with dropped connections or erratic temperature readings, which is surprisingly common among smart home thermostats. It also offers a range of fun features, including a readout that changes depending on how close you are to the device. Even better, the Nest thermostat comes with an external temperature sensor that lets you prioritize readings in a specific room (or part of a room). This allowed WIRED reviewer Nina Farrell to set the device to her toddler’s bedroom to keep it from getting too clogged. She noted that the larger screen size is also a notable upgrade over previous generations.

Nest Cam Outdoor 2K (Wired, 2nd generation)

the Nest Cam External 2K It requires a little installation, of course: you’ll need to install the stand and run the cable. But the camera offers 2K video quality and two-way audio, and doesn’t waste your time with a series of vague notifications like many outdoor cameras: it can accurately detect people, animals, and vehicles. The camera delivers sharp video with a 152-degree field of view. It’s the wired outdoor camera that WIRED reviewer Simon Hill recommends above all else — but note that while notifications and live streaming don’t require a subscription, you’ll need a $10 or $20 per month subscription to access more advanced features that include familiar face detection and 30- to 60-day video history. Anyway, there’s a 20 percent off Black Friday sale at Home Depot, along with sales on a whole bunch of other smart home devices.
