It’s official – rising streaming prices will follow us into 2026. Paramount Plus It will cost more in the US as of January 15.
Both basic and premium Paramount Plus plans will go up by $1. The price of the basic ad-supported version will increase to $9, and the price of the ad-free premium version will increase to $14. The prepaid option for a year of streaming currently costs $60 for Essential and $120 for Premium, but will cost $90 per year for Essential and $140 per year for Premium in January.

Both new and existing subscribers will see a price increase. In a Message to shareholdersThe company said the changes — including upcoming pricing adjustments in Australia and Canada — “will foster continued reinvestment in the user experience and deliver a stronger slate of software to our customers in the coming year and beyond.”
The two Paramount Plus plans differ in several ways – the Premium plan exclusively lets you download titles and access any Showtime title you want. Both tiers offer Paramount Plus Taylor Sheridan Offers, such as Landman and Tulsa KingPlus franchises like South Park, Star Trek, CBS series, Paramount Pictures films, and live sports.
Premium includes your live local CBS station. With Essential, you can watch the NFL on CBS and the UEFA Champions League via separate live streams.
