Just a couple of months ago, the accepted wisdom was that there would be no Galaxy S26 Plus, Samsung’s mid-range flagship, in favor of the slim Edge. Now the tables have turned, as the Edge has supposedly been canceled and the Plus is not only on track to release early next year, but has been revealed in new renders based on the phone’s leaked specifications.

Android addresses Reports suggest that the thickness of the S26 Plus will be 7.35mm. That’s about as thick as S25 Plusand is comfortably bulkier than 5.8mm S25 Edgeso this does not appear to be the slim second-generation phone branded as the Plus model. the site Separate reports The regular S26 phone will be 7.24 mm thick, which is slightly thicker than the leaks that linked the Pro model, indicating that Samsung is really moving away from the thin phone trend that it itself started with the first Edge phone this year.

Dutch fan site Galaxy Club I mentioned last month Another Edge is still in development, codenamed “More Slim.” Maybe it will be an echo of the S25 Edge when it launches a few months after the other models, or maybe this is the end of the road for the Edge. We may find out more when the S26 launches, likely in early 2026.
