Amazon’s grocery store dreams are reshaping whole foods

When a customer places an Amazon Fresh order, autonomous “ShopBot” robots developed by a company called Fulfill will begin retrieving the products. Customers will then receive a text notification when their order is ready for pickup from the in-store Amazon Pickup and Returns desk.

“As we gather customer feedback from this first location, we plan to improve this offering and expand it to additional stores over time,” Amazon says.
