Zoom CEO Eric Yuan says AI will shorten our workweek

Yuan also suggested that there are many use cases for AI companions, beyond just video conferencing. He presented a possible future scenario where two business executives were negotiating a contract over Zoom.

Instead of holding a call for a long time, they can send their digital twins to work together on the plan first, Yuan said.

He also talked about how AI can help you handle email, check your messages for you, and help you know what’s important and needs a response.

Additionally, Yuan believes AI can enhance Zoom’s broader suite of solutions, which includes things like the Internet Blackboard and Collaborative documents.

“Today, I need to manually focus on all these products to get work done. Eventually, artificial intelligence will help,” Yuan said.

“By doing this, we won’t need to work five days a week, right? … Five years, three days or four days (a week). That’s the goal,” he said.
