Let’s be honest, not all of us are skilled at photo editing. We’ve all taken a picture of that barely Perfect but you have no idea which sliders to move to fix it. Finally, Google Photos has a solution for the rest of us: “Edit the conversation“.
This new AI feature, which was previously exclusive to Pixel 10is now being rolled out to include more Android phones. It lets you skip the complicated tools and tell your phone what you want, either by typing or with your voice.
It may seem like a gimmick, but being able to say “make this look better” and have AI actually do it is a game-changer. It’s the “give up” button for photo editing that we’ve all secretly wanted. Here’s what you need to know.
Below, we’ll walk you through what you’ll need to get started editing the conversation.

Even if you meet all the requirements, you may not see Ask Photos appear yet. Google says the feature is not available in all regions yet.
The new feature allows anyone, no matter how experienced they are with a photo editor, to get the shot they want. Whether you want to make minor adjustments or recreate the natural scene of a photo, you can now ask Photos to do just that.

Photo Prompt: “Make the Earth Dark Red”
Photo Prompt: “Turn the Earth into a Tranquil Pond”
If you want to adjust Gemini’s access to Google Photos, don’t forget to check your settings.
From the Google Photos app:
If you don’t want Google to display every query you make on Ask Photos, you can turn off this setting by turning off “Allow us to access your queries.” Here, you can also choose which Gemini-powered features you want to take advantage of. You can disable Gemini entirely in the Photos app, or individual features, like Ask Photos, Gemini-powered Memories, and Help Me with Address. Anything you’ve asked Photos to remember, such as who a friend, parent, sibling or partner is, can be managed in the remember list.
