It’s October, which means Halloween season is in full swing. Spooky season meant watching all the classic horror movies every day of the month until the big night. Now that I’m the father of a little boy, I’ve had to be mindful of the scary entertainment I play at home. This year, I decided to bring it to the portal show that made me a huge horror fan.

Yes, I’m talking about Scooby-Doo.

Warner Bros. started Discovery hosts its annual month-long Scooby celebration, titled ScoobyTober, at the beginning of October. You can watch the event’s stacked lineup on Cartoon Network, Boomerang, or MeTV Toons. If you disconnect, it will stream on Sling, YouTube TV, and Hulu Plus Live TV. Plus a new brand Luffy Scooby-Doo album Delivered just in time for this year’s Scoobtober to help you get into the spirit of the season.

The original that started it all is still the best Scooby-Doo show, if you ask me. This is the series that introduced that famous song and showed viewers the logic behind every situation, no matter how strange or terrifying it may be. These were fun episodes with enough scares to give the show a bit of an edge. Scooby-Doo, where are you! It ran for three seasons and helped shape and develop cartoon entertainment.

Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated premiered in 2010 and initially ran for two seasons on Cartoon Network. The series, now streaming on both Netflix and Sling, sees the gang continuing to investigate a host of monster mysteries. However, it has a more dramatic tone and darker theme and explores a serial narrative format with a single story unfolding over the course of two seasons.

The Scooby-Doo Show premiered on ABC in 1976, and followed the narrative format of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! She continued to follow the gang as they pursued creepy cases, and introduced a new dog into the mix: Scooby’s cousin, Scooby-Dum, who didn’t stick around for long (he simply wasn’t very popular).

What’s new, Scooby-Doo? It aired for three seasons, from 2002 to 2006, and helped introduce the gang to a new generation of viewers. The series features a sleeker animation style than its predecessors and follows the classic monster puzzle format that initially made Scooby so popular. Considering the era in which it premiered, the show seems somewhat inspired by The X-Files, which ended its run the same year What’s New, Scooby-Doo? It was shown for the first time.
