Managed accounts give parents the ability to filter explicit content, block specific songs and artists, and hide videos that sometimes play alongside audio clips on the streaming service. Spotify says that interaction features are limited on managed accounts, and that age-restricted features like the ability to message other Spotify users are strictly prohibited. This is different from Dedicated Spotify Kids appBecause managed accounts enable parents to regulate what their kids can listen to in the main Spotify app.
Kids are free to add songs to favorites, create playlists, and receive personalized recommendations based on their listening habits, without affecting the main account holders’ listening history or algorithm. This separation means that parents won’t find that their Discover playlists or wrapped results have been destroyed because their child was attacking Demon hunters in kpop The soundtrack is on repeat.
Managed accounts are available exclusively through Spotify’s Premium Family plan, which includes six individual Premium accounts for members who reside at the same address for $19.99 per month.
