Ninja Gaiden 4 is coming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on the first day of October

Ninja Gaiden is a popular action series that is almost 40 years old, and if you’re a fan of the series, you should make sure you subscribe to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate in October. Microsoft is adding Ninja Gaiden 4, the next game in the series, on day one on October 21.

Get into the holiday spirit early with this toy inspired by the classic holiday movie How the Grinch Stole Christmas. You play as the titular green Grinch as he tries to steal all the gifts in Whoville. Use gadgets, hidden disguises, and more to sneak around the city, perhaps discovering the true meaning of Christmas along the way. Or maybe you’ll eat a whole ham on your own.

This action RPG comes from a team of developers who have worked on popular series like Dragon Age and Assassin’s Creed. This game has a unique magic system that allows you to combine spells or limit their damage area – such as freezing a dragon’s wings so it can’t fly. It’s also packed with climbable bosses reminiscent of Shadow of the Colossus, and a crafting system to help you fine-tune your playstyle.

In the profound, forgotten parts of the world, the Demon King had risen once again. Without someone powerful enough to bring him down, the king would bring corruption to the world. Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass subscribers can start playing on October 16.

Medieval legends are real in this sandbox MMO. Ghosts, monsters, and magic exist in this world, and you will have to defend your growing home from their threats. You can join thousands of others to explore areas, harvest food, build your house, and make your own way.

This atmospheric puzzle game has you playing as a sentient lighthouse — don’t worry, it gets weirder. Embark on a journey with your loyal seabird companion to worlds filled with giant snail shells, a flying whale and other silly sights. I haven’t played the game, but it reminds me of Jeff VanderMeer’s game Extermination and Southern Reach Series.

You’ll play as a new hero in the series named Yakumo, but Ryu from the previous entries is still present and playable as well. The mix of high-octane gameplay and brutal combat will be familiar to anyone who’s played previous games in the series, and should provide a challenge to new players.

Games leaving Game Pass on October 15

While Microsoft is adding these games to Game Pass, it is also removing three more games from the service on October 15. So you still have some time to finish your campaign and any side quests before you have to purchase these games separately.
