You will be required to enter your USB drive and choose from the drop -down menu on the screen. Make sure to determine the correct USB drive, not an external disk containing information about it. In the end, you are told that the USB installation engine is ready: it took the necessary download and installation 30 minutes or so to me, but it will rely on the computer you use and connect your internet.
Use Chromeos Flex on an older laptop

Then you need to operate your computer or MAC – the device we give a second life – from the USB drive that you just created. This will usually include pressing a specific key with a laptop: if you are not sure of what it is, run a web search, check your laptop documents, or see Google list here. For MACS, start the system either by pressing the power switch and then option INTEL key, or stick to the power key (Apple chips) until the boot options appear.
You will see the Cromeos Flexible welcome screen, so click never To do this. You then face two options: Install Chromeos FlexWhich will write Windows or MacOS, and Try it firstIt allows you to operate the Google operating system from the USB engine without affecting anything on the laptop.
If you are looking to activate an old laptop, you will need to choose the first option, however Try it first It allows you to see what is going on around Chromeos Flex before commitment. Either way, click the nextAnd it will be taken through the usual preparation process for Chromeos, which will ask you to log in with a Google user account and start syncing your data.
If you never use the Chromebook before, it is basically the Chrome Web browser with some additions, such as the taskbar along the bottom. Use the Launcher button to the bottom in the lower left corner to show all installed applications, which will include links to web applications in addition to applying files for local files and settings to form Chromeos Flex.
Open the settings and you will get the usual customization options you can find in Google Chrome for Windows or MacOS, as well as some additions to cover the input devices, Bluetooth connections and network options. You should find Chromeos Flex automatically pick up a Wi-Fi connection and a tractional and mouse plate, especially if your computer is listed in Chromeos Flex.
