Redmagic ASTRA is the best tablet device for games that you can buy

Redmagic is famous for filling its devices for all the latest specifications you can want, and ASTRA continues in this direction. It is supported by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, up to 24 GB of RAM LPDDR5X and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage. The basic model with 12 GB of memory and 256 GB of storage is $ 549 and is similar to what you will get in the TAB $ 550 Gen 3 (although the Corps is regularly Go for sale for about $ 100 less). I tested a $ 699 version of ASTRA with 16 GB memory and 512 GB of storage. Astra Maxed-OT with 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage is $ 899.

One individual design option

Redmagic has chosen a very strange design with ASTRA by compensating the USB-C port towards the top of the tablet. This means that the power button is now located directly via the USB-C port, so if you try to use a USB-C controller, you are likely to press the power button when taking the console and turning off. I faced this in the test, and while it was annoying, I will not say that it is enough to prevent me from buying it. This did not happen as soon as I have a console, and it is clear that Bluetooth control units will not face this problem. Also, when using a console, the tablet now sits down and becomes somewhat unbalanced. This is logical to me and it was one of the problems I faced while playing on phones or other tablets. Also, the side power button is removed to work with many third -party control units that have insulating areas to avoid accidental activation. As you may expect the specifications sheet, this thing just flies through anything you throw. It is clear that the ability to play the best games smoothly is an important part of performance, but Redmagic revolves around giving you the best absolute games experience on a mobile device.

All the most popular games I tried were great at the highest possible frames. I have constantly reached 120 frames per second on Call of Duty: Mobile, Redmagic has promised high support from update for other famous games, including PUBG, Delta Force and Legue of Legends.

Redmagic’s Game Center allows you to increase tire prices in subsidized games such as Genshin Impact. On the mobile phone, Genshin currently supports only 60 frames per second, but ASTRA can boost the frame rate to 120 frames per second through the game center program.

Fast program, but do not expect updates

I was surprised by the pleasure of experimenting with the ASTRA program outside the box. Even just a few years ago, the Redmagic program was still very very feeling and looked like something from the bad science fiction movie. Recently, the company has significantly reduced software experience, and now, it is actually completely used.

However, there is a decent amount of huge programs, but it is easily removed, and the rest is a very clean building from Android. Aside from the game space, it is not very different from what you will find on any other Android tablet device these days. There are some translation errors around it, but they are definitely more use than it was just a few years ago. Redmagic deserves some credit for the amount of progress made.

Where it still falls backward, however, in updates. Astra works on Android 15, and to be honest, I do not expect any major platform updates. From my previous experience with Redmagic devices, you will get some security updates over the years or three years,

This is not a breach for me, because this means in the first place to be a gaming and entertainment device and not something I use for banking services or anything personal. As long as the main new games that appear in the next few years are going on – they will surely do – you are not very annoyed by the lack of updates. The company completely needs to do better, but I will not allow this to prevent you from buying it.

Also, if you are looking for a full set of accessories in the box, you will be disappointed. As I mentioned earlier, there is no charger included, however Redmagic will sell you one for $ 29.90. The screen protector and paper condition are also available, for $ 24.90 and $ 39, respectively, but it seems to sell it quickly. Although ASTRA has active support for the pen, Redmagic does not currently have a pen as an appendix, although the person is expected to be available.
