HP reveals $ 24,999 devices created for Google Beam

HP has become the first company to see the Google Beam devices, which is a 3D communication technology known as Project Starline. It runs Dimense HP, a 65 -inch 65 -inch lighting screen with six high -speed cameras inside the frame to create a “real” 3D video of the serum.

Google Declare Project Starline last month. At that time, Google said it would allow third -party manufacturers, starting with HP, using its design frame to create beam devices. HP dimension aims to use the institution. It costs 24,999 dollars, and this does not include even the necessary program to keep video calls, as users will need to buy a Google Beam license separately to access zoos or Google for a meeting. (HP and Google haven’t said how much it will cost the license so far.)

As my colleague Alex Heath He indicated in the illustration show From Google Beam, you don’t need headphones, glasses or any kind of special equipment to see a colleague as if they were in the same room. Beau Wilder, future customer experiments, said you don’t need a private room as well, but getting a white background is the best for “perfect” experience.

“We are not trying to put a caricature in a small box on the table from you,” Wilder said. “We want you to walk in the room and continue immediately without thinking about it.”

HP Dimense users will continue to make calls with people from other video platforms and devices, but their colleagues will not be able to see their photos in 3D – and vice versa. Besides a series of compact cameras, HP Dimense features adaptive lighting “adapting to the environment”, allowing users to see real shades on facial features and natural skin tones.

Dimense HP connects the light field screen with the spatial sound that Wilder said, “Never separate the sound from the body.” It comes with the new Mics Poly Studio A2 from HP, as well as four speakers located behind the “transparent audio” wall for “direct path to the ears”.

“The ultimate goal of Google Beam – is manifested in Dimense – is to feel like you are there,” Andrew Narker, General Manager of Google Beam, said at the conference. “You feel like you are on the table that works together … all aim to combine us and ultimately feel that we are completely physically present.”

Dimense HP will be launched in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Japan later this year. Companies such as Salesforce, Deloitte and Nec Corporation have already adhered to bring Google Beam to their offices.
