HP Elitebook X G1A

Positives

  • A strong comprehensive performance

  • Built

  • Comfortable keyboard

cons

  • The basic offer at a high price

  • Very price for the basic touch board as well

  • Heavy for a 14 -inch laptop computer

HP’s Elitebook X Series is the late version of the main EliteBook Ultra for the company’s commercial computers, and Elitebook X G1A is an AMD model that cuts the corners in a few important areas without decrease in the price. I have no problem with the performance of the AMD Ryzen Ai processor, which was at the same level Elitebook Ultra G1IBut the Elitebook Ultra, which you reviewed provides high -resolution OLED design and Trimmer design almost the same price. Between the two, Elitebook Ultra G1I is the clear option for a 14 -inch laptop laptop that also facilitates the road.

There are four quarters in the new ELiteBook X series of HP. There are AMD models called G1A and Intel Models called G1I. For each half the division of the processor, there are regular mobile models and also from two of each one through the face in its name. ELiteBook X G1A here is an AMD laptop with the Ryzen Ai 9 HX 375 CPU, 32 GB RAM, AMD Radeon 890m integrated graphics and 1 TB SSD. The screen is essential, if it is bright (I will reach it soon), IPS IPS 14 inches with a resolution of 1920 x 200 pixels and the standard 60 Hz update rate. The full price of our test system is $ 2,629, but it is always offered for sale for $ 1849 or nearly. (Sometimes it is only inserted for $ 1849 without mentioning the highest price. However, you should not pay more than $ 1849 for that).

The high -end models in the Elitebook X G1A series feature an OLED 2.8K and 64 GB of RAM. OLED with the same configuration of our test system offered for sale for $ 1999, and I think the upgrade is worth shipping $ 150. The problem is that Elitebook Ultra G1I, which you just looked at the same screen 2.8K (with it is a Muslim that SSD is the smallest 512 GB) and I have a consistent sale price between $ 1899 and $ 1,999. Even with the smaller SSD, it’s a much better deal because of its superior design.

Elitebook X G1A begins in 1,296 pounds in the United Kingdom and AU 3445 dollars in Australia.

HP Elitebook X G1A has turned into a polished aluminum cover

HP Elitebook X G1A performance

Ryzen Ai 9 HX 375 is a AMD’s member Strix Point A family of chips with 12 cores and 24 virtual processing indicators. ELitebook X G1A has turned into an excellent multi -floral performance on our application standards, especially when compared to laptops such as Elitebook Ultra G1I using processors from Intel’s LunarWhich lacks Multithreading (or excessive fatigue, in Intel). The mono -core performance was more between the two, as was the performance of artificial intelligence, but Intel had an advantage in performing integrated graphics.

EliteBook X G1A continued for about 15 hours in the YouTube flowing battery drain, which is long enough for most people who do not need to recharge the laptop during the day but still shorter hours of battery life for 20 hours of Intel and Qualcomm. It lasted a little more than an hour of EliteBook Ultra G1I but has a low -resolution IPS panel, which does not consume battery resources in the same high -resolution screen in Ultra, which makes the battery life a little longer.

It was built strongly

Elitebook X G1A is well designed, but to the point of feeling tanks. The Aluminum Aluuluminum is a direct appearance with the polished silver surfaces surrounding the dark gray keyboard. Remember the design that has been reduced, gently rounded angles and the color of displacement in the keyboard design MacBook Pro As well as the thickness and weight of the laptop. HP gives the dimensions of EliteBook X G1A as 0.4 inches at the front edge and 0.5 inches at the back, but it feels more hot than it because it is located on thick rubber feet that make it sit higher than the MacBook Pro, which is 0.6 inches high.

Elitebook X G1A is lighter than MacBook Pro 14 inches but only a little. Weighs 3.3 pounds, and MacBook Pro is 3.4 pounds. Elitebook Ultra G1I is much thinner and lighter at only 2.6 pounds.

HP Elitebook X G1A has a 14 -inch screen

You can get the OLED 2.8K panel on Elitebook X G1A, but our test system came with a base screen, the IPS 1920 x 200 pixel panel with 60 Hz updates and not supporting touch. If your job requires you to read the text on the screen to get large parts of your day, you will get a more clear text with a 2.8K panel; The text looked somewhat mysterious on my test system. And if your job requires an accurate work of colors, the OLED plate is a better option. The IPS performance of the ELiteBook X G1A was not well performed in my tests using the Colorimter Spyder X.

The level of brightness in the width provides it from just average. In the test, the peak reached 465 windows, which, along with a matte finish, makes it displayable in a variety of lighting conditions, including outdoor air.

HP Elitebook X G1A keyboard and touch plate

The keyboard is my favorite part of EliteBook X G1A. Perhaps because of the thick structure, the keys have a more luxurious feeling than EliteBook Ultra. Writing on Elitebook X is similar to writing on Thinkpad – strong and strong keys with deep travel.

However, the touch panel is another area where you take Elitebook X to step down from Elitebook Ultra. It is smaller than the extremist and lacks haptics. For a mechanical touch panel, it’s okay – clicking is soft and quiet but not soft. But at the price of Elitebook X, the insertion of the winding touch plate is not an unreasonable expectation.

HP EliteBook X G1A contains two USB-C outlets on the left edge

You can get quad speakers like with Elitebook Ultra, and look great. The webcam has a 5 -megapixel sensor compared to the 9 -megapixel ELiteBook Ultra camera, but the accuracy is sufficient for all professional signs, who use an outdoor camera to produce content. The ELiteBook X G1A webcam produces a clear and balanced image that will make you look clear and natural for your video conference colleagues. The webcam also contains an infrared camera, which, along with the fingerprint sensor, provides two options for safe entry in Elitebook X G1A.

The port’s choice is excellent. You can get a pair of Thunderbolt 4 ports, divided with one on each side of the laptop. There are also a 10 GB USB perpetrators, type A and Type-C, along with the HDMI port. You will not go to the outlets with EliteBook G1A, and you should not need to take care of any transformers as well.

Is HP Elitebook X G1A a good laptop?

It is a wonderful laptop that provides a strong performance in solid building quality, but there is not enough price gap between it and Elitebook Ultra to choose it via the main model. For only 50 to 150 dollars (depending on the Ultra selling price), you will get lighter design, a high -resolution OLED screen and a Haptic painting, all of which are not included in the EliteBook X test system of $ 1849. Certainly, you can equip elitebook X with an OLED screen, but then the difference between it and Ultra all disappears, making it a less convincing option.

The process of reviewing for laptops, desktop computers, tablets and other computer -like devices consists of two parts: performance test under conditions that are controlled in CNET laboratories and a wide use of work by our expert auditors. This includes assessing the aesthetics of the device, the work environment and features. The final review ruling is a mixture of objective and subjective provisions.

The list of measurements that we use changes over time as the devices we test develop. The most important basic tests we currently run on each compatible computer Prigy Labs Geekbench 6and Cinebench R23and PCMARM 10 and 3dmark Fire Strike Ultra.

A more detailed description of each standard can be found and how we use it on How to test computers page.
