Twitch announces a set of updates in TwistCon Europe, including the ability to host the vertical live broadcast and an open experimental test that allows creators to flow with higher quality.
The arrangement of vertical flows should make the easiest to watch the image on your phone. Under the line, signs will not have to choose between vertical or horizontal flows; Instead, Twitch will allow the assumptions of making their flows in double format. The company will start testing the feature with a small amount of channels this summer and expanding it later this year.
TWITCH also introduces an “2K Streaming” (which allows creators in 1440 pixels) that will be available to all Twitch partners and subsidiaries. “The upgrade to 2K (1440p) provides a remarkable step of 1080 pixels, with richer details, improved clarity, and better performance – whether you play or make art or chat only.” Nashlal support page. Before now, the feature was available in beta more limited.
The platform offers a way to return the flows as well. This may be really useful if you miss something while it is on the air or just want to return and watch something. Twitch will first experience the feature with a small number of viewers this summer.
Dan Clans, CEO of Twitch, stirred vertical flows and many other updates coming to the platform in 2025 in a publication posted In February.
