Tiktok adds support to the text of the photos

Tiktok puts support for Alt’s text for photo bulletins to make content easier for users with visual and knowledge weakness. The company says that creators can now provide a descriptive text of photos to help users understand the visible content through spoken descriptions.

Tell Tiktok Techcrunch in an email that creators can add ALT text during the download process, or after posting a post.

With this launch, Tiktok joins many other social networks that support Alt text, including Instagram, Facebook and X (previously Twitter), Reddit, Mastodon, Tumblr and more.

Alt Text joins the current TIKTOK collection of access tools, which include features such as automatic illustrations created for video content and the ability to adjust the size of the text via the application.
