One of the main complaints of Airbnb users over the years was not able to know the amount they will pay for their stay, including fees such as cleaning fees. Airbnb is now fixing this by showing the total cost of a specific drug, including all fees, automatically.
Users all over the world will now see prices before taxes by default when searching for real estate. When looking for web properties, Airbnb now displays a small sticker read, “Prices include all fees”.
Airbnb started testing this Feature in 2019 In some countries in Europe, as well as Australia, Canada and Korea. In 2022, the company presented Optional switch to display the price before taxes in the search results In the United States and 200 other countries.
In 2023, the switching has expanded to Liquidation of prices, maps and insertion pages. Airbnb said that 17 million users have used the feature since its launch. Switch now disappears with the new version.
Airbnb said it has provided an advantage since 2023 that allows hosts to see similar properties to their cells and compare prices. The hosts will also show the payment of their guests before taxes to help reset the prices.
