Intel agrees to sell a controlling stake in Alter Chip Business

Intel on Monday Declare It has been concluded with a final agreement to sell 51 % of semiconductors to Silver Lake, a private stock company.

Intel said the deal is expected to be closed in the second half of 2025, according to the usual closure conditions.

The decision came amid a rapid growth in the FPGA market. According to one analysisThe FPGA sector can grow from $ 12.1 billion in 2024 to $ 25.8 billion by 2029.

In the fiscal year 2024, Altera achieved revenues of $ 1.54 billion, according to Intel.
