I tested EVS for Volvo in the frozen Sweden

Despite many misconceptions, driving an electric car in winter conditions can be easy and fun just like driving a gas car. To prove this, I went to the frozen north of Sweden, where I spent days in EVS driving for Volvo on the frozen lakes and snow -covered roads.

The fact is that all cars, regardless of their forces, are more struggling in cold conditions. Although EV batteries can be less efficient in low temperatures, modern EV technology has a long way to compensate them.

Most modern EVS allows you to heat your car and batteries while still connected (a process called “pre -conditions”), which provides all your available range for your trip. This is in addition to the most efficient heat pumps and modern technology such as renewable braking (found in most EVS these days), which can restore energy to batteries when slowing.

Then there is the fact that the average EVS has doubled more than three times in the past ten years, while the number of fees available to the public has increased as well. As a result, long -distance electrical driving in any circumstances was today easier than ever.
